"Growing up on the isle of Skye in Scotland, we always celebrated simplicity in cooking. Finding the freshest ingredients and letting them speak for themselves.
I was spoilt for choice with the common ingredients on my doorstep. Fresh fish delivered straight from the harbor, venison, grouse and lamb from our farmers. Along with mushrooms, wild garlic and samphire from our local foragers.
I trained to become a chef in the beautiful city of Edinburgh at the age of 21 and continued my training throughout Scotland for the following 5 years. Quickly working my way through the ranks to become head chef at a quaint little inn at the age of 25. Since then, I have owned two successful cafes, one in Scotland and the other here in Australia.
On my many travels, I have experienced and learned cuisine from all over the world. From Spain, China, New Zealand and Australia. Now I have found my home in the town of Boonah, where I can be passionate about the food I create and be close to my daughter, Matilda"
